Tony's Sombrero | Williamstown
Mexican

Stepping into Tony’s Sombrero in the heart of Williamstown, you’re greeted by a cozy, unpretentious space where the buzz of conversation blends effortlessly with the casual clatter of plates. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot that invites both locals and visitors to pause from their day, settle in, and savor the moment at a relaxed pace. The atmosphere hums with a warm familiarity—bright colors, friendly nods from the staff, and the gentle aroma of cooking spices that feel both comforting and authentic.

This isn’t just a place to fill up; it’s a place to discover the rich layers of Mexican flavors delivered with care and straightforward sincerity. Whether it’s the fresh, hand-pressed tortillas accompanying guacamole or the satisfying heft of a burrito packed with tender meat and rice, each bite carries a sense of home-cooked attention. The menu offers a thoughtful range, bringing together crowd favorites alongside dishes like mole and tacos al pastor that reveal deep culinary roots rarely found in a small town setting.

There’s a genuine kindness woven through the service here, making visitors feel noticed rather than rushed. It’s this welcoming spirit that makes Tony’s Sombrero feel less like a restaurant and more like someone’s cherished local table—a place where meals invite sharing, stories, and easy smiles. While the space may be modest and the seating close, it contributes to the sense of community, a shared experience around flavor and company.

For anyone exploring Williamstown’s food scene, Tony’s Sombrero offers a chance to encounter Mexican cuisine that’s distinct, approachable, and grounded in authenticity. It’s a quiet treasure along Spring Street where the spirit of tradition meets everyday enjoyment, all served with a side of warmth.

About Us

With our new restaurant, Trail House, we hope to build
upon our success at Freight Yard Pub and connect to the exciting new developments at NORAD Mill, Greylock WORKS and TOURISTS.

We named Trail House for its prominent location along the Mohawk Trail and the Appalachian Trail. We want to link Trail House to that history and create a place where both locals and tourists feel at home. We’re excited for the
opportunity to expand and offer something a little different than the Freight Yard Pub. At Trail House, our menu reflects more farm to table fare, as well as
vegetarian meals and offerings for those with food sensitivities. Our local farm partners such as Burnett’s Farm, McKay’s Family Farm and Berkshire Mountain Farm will supply us with fresh meat, eggs and vegetables. Like
Freight Yard Pub, Trail House will offer a friendly-friendly environment, fresh comfort food and great hospitality. Come and experience the best of the Northern Berkshires and visit us at Trail House and Freight Yard Pub!
